SPECIAL EVENTS:
Your child will work hard during the year. He or she will have several opportunities to show off. We strive to have seven family events throughout the year. All of our students are encouraged to participate. Program times vary, many are in the morning, but our Christmas program and Graduation are in the evening.
We are always pleased at the wonderful parent attendance.
BIRTHDAYS:
Each child is special, and we celebrate their birthday at school during afternoon snack. You are welcome to provide a store purchased special treat for your child and their classmates on their birthday.
WATER DAY:
We have Wacky Water Day each Wednesday during the warm months. Your child is welcome to participate by playing in a sprinkler, water buckets, water table, water ball, and hose.
To participate, bring your child to school in his or her bathing suit. Please bring a change of clothes and a towel that is marked with your child’s name. Water shoes or other water suitable shoes are necessary.
Place your child’s change of clothes in their class’s colored bin by the sign in table.
SHOW AND TELL:
Show and Tell is on Mondays only. Your child may bring one item to show their classmates during circle time. Please make sure the item is appropriate for school. No toy weapons or DVDs. Discuss with your child that their Show and Tell item must be placed in their class’s tub on Monday morning and kept in the tub until it is time to share their item with their class. Remember to label the item. Please do not bring personal items the rest of the week unless it is requested by your child’s teacher.
SAFETY:
Children are NOT to have in their possession any item that fits through a choking tube. Check pockets for coins, toys, gum, candy, and trinkets.
